Unfortunately we lost a rap legend and community leader by the name of Nipsey Hussle this week. I am a big fan of Nipsey and have been following his success for a decade now. He was a one-of-a-kind artist that spoke about issues within the community and how to create your own destiny through ownership. This LA based hip-hop artist, was a light of hope for his Crenshaw community providing jobs and opportunities for those that might never had a chance to prosper. It's sad that he had to go out the way he did. I felt the urge to create a portrait of him, not for likes, to commemorate his life. After I posted my rendering of him a few people asked for prints on canvas and t-shirts. Anytime I post an image of my "in memory" art someone bootlegs it and throws it on t-shirts, sweaters and other items. I want to help in keeping Nipsey's name alive so I teamed up with Brotherhood Crusades Charity in Crenshaw LA to give back to those kids in need. Brotherhood Crusade is a 50-year old grassroots organization with a vision of improving quality of life and meeting the unmet needs of low-income, underserved, under-represented and disenfranchised individuals.15% of the proceeds will go to Brotherhood Crusades to help locals in need. This design is expensive to print so must of the funds will go into purchasing the apparel, printing and overhead. I wanted to give his fans something dope and high quality like his music that they're use to. I really hope you enjoy these Nipsey Hussle t-shirts, sweaters and prints. My condolences go out to his family, friends and fans. You are truly missed Nip. THE MARATHON STILL CONTINUES!

"wc" Nas New York State of Mind Print (17" x 24")
Being originally from Queens and a big fan of Hip-Hop I felt I was obliged to create this New York State of Mind art print. Nas is one of the Goats of Hip-Hop and a king in New York so I am paying homage with this piece.
Faith (18"x24" Print)
(ONLY 30 PIECES WILL BE MADE)
I have mixed feelings about revealing the end result of this 60"x48" painting I named "Faith". Coming from a Latino background the subject of immigration hits close to home for me. It breaks my heart to see so many people that look like me and my family dying trying to live a better life. My family did the same thing so I could be here living the dream and I'm blessed to be in my position, PRAISE GOD. Just yesterday the heartbreaking story of Óscar Alberto Martínez Ramírez and his 23-month-old daughter, Valeria, really hit me. They were trying to get to America through Mexico and drowned in the Rio Grande in front of the babies mother. I couldn't imagine what that family is going through. I have a daughter around the same age and would do anything to protect her because she's my heart. With concentration jails treating our precious children like animals locked in cages I think what is going on in America. It's nothing new. This has been going on since the beginning of time. So many people risk their lives to come to a country that doesn't claim to want them. I don't have the answers on what we should do to make life easier for everyone and no government does. We were created by God and to be Governed by God. Nothing will be fully fixed until the glory of the Father, Son and Holy spirit shine through everything and LOVE takes over. Until then I will keep painting, giving back and praying for the Lord to end this. This painting is now up at BJ Spoke Gallery and can be seen until July 28th. 20% of the proceeds on this painting will go to a charity that deals with immigration (TBA). My heart and prayers go out to our kids that are caged, the people who died trying to reach the promised land and the whole world. Let's remember Oscar Ramirez and Valeria Ramirez. May God be with you.
Eminem Killshot Art Print (17"x22")
The Eminem Killshot Art Print (17"x22"). This is from a 2013 oil painting of one of my favorite rappers Slim Shady. This year he dropped one of the hottest albums Kamikaze and has been going back and forth with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. Responding with the killshot record. Now you can have a mix of your favorite artist and rapper in print.
